11th, 18th, 25th February – Resurgam’s Sacred Symphonies series – festival presenting the works of Heinrich Schutz and his contemporaries at City Hall, Dublin, Ireland, conducted by Mark Duley, also featuring Malcolm Proud, Irish Baroque Orchestra, and Her Majesty’s Sackbutts and Cornetts
17th / 18th February – Picturing the Soul – at the Back Loft, St Augustine St, Dublin, Ireland – multi-disciplinary show devised by Andrea Scott, I performed in three works, an installation in the toilet which had a soundscape, consisting of short passages of me singing (using a print by Art Werger as inspiration) played by a concealed i-pod shuffle and small philips speakers, a movement piece created by Andrea Scott called Flutterby with 7 other actors / dancers and Lioba Petrie on cello, and a performance of Grainne Mulvey’s The Gift of Freedom (for soprano and electronics) with visuals provided by Furry (Trevor Furlong).

21st / 22nd July – Hilltown New Music Festival – Hilltown House, Castle Pollard, Westmeath, Ireland – part of the Hilltown Ensemble, myself, Ciaran Crilly (viola), Lioba Petrie (cello) and Dan Bodwell (double bass) – new works by Victor Lazzarini, Conal Ryan, Derek Ball, Norah Walsh, Sinead Finegan, Massimo Davi, Jerome de Bromhead, also solo works by Oliver Knussen, David Bremner and Grainne Mulvey, did a solo spot of three of George Aperghis Recitations and two improvisations – one with the Hilltown Music Ensemble using a video score designed by Furry (Trevor Furlong) – our movements would change the shapes and patterns of the video projected and we improvised based on these images, and also a free improv session with Mick O’Shea and David Lacey
