On Friday 6th December at 5pm, 6 pm, and 7pm myself and David Bremner will present three short recitals featuring music by Palestinian composers Donia Jarrar, Wisam Gibran and Amin Nasser alongside an anti-war song cycle by Irish composer Raymond Deane.

The concert is held in solidarity with the people of Gaza.

The impulse for the recital comes from a horror at the ongoing erasure by the Israeli government of Palestine’s people and cultural heritage, and a recognition that the art-song tradition, as has always been the case, will respond to and reflect upon current events.
